Tressanisms

Tressan has been imaginatively referring to himself and to us so either people he knows or as characters from his books. It started with Pooh (him), Christopher Robin (me) and Tigger (Bob). Sometimes Bob is Mulan and Tressan is Ping. Recently he was Katy Caboose and I was The Shack, from a Bill Peet book. Or Lily and Mac. Or train driver, conductor and caboose. Or George and Martha. Or Bertha and Briggs. Or any number of combinations of his daycare friends and teachers.  It's very cute.

He is also getting into imaginative play with his toy stove and food, and he likes to play "I spy", while staring directly at the thing he is "spying".

He enjoys wordplay, telling us that Safeway is a way that is safe, and when that got laughs, telling us that a freeway is a way that is free... And that Chipotle is a le that is Chipot!

Some cute mishearings:

"He's a poor boy, and he has a pocket. And he has a pocket with nothing to lose." -diamonds on the soles of her shoes

Gels of life = jaws of life

Random quotes:

"All I can see is nothing!" When it is dark outside... And a few minutes later, terrifyingly,  "all I can see is raccoons!!"

"Don't touch my despairagus!"  ( ???? No clue about this one)
