3 months... and the corona virus

Asa is 3 months old as of a few days ago. It is a strange moment, I just returned to work this past week, and yesterday brought closures of the kids' school and many other public organizations and events. We are doing fine but certainly feel the malaise and uncertainty of the moment. We anticipate going on walks and spending time in our backyard, around the rain announced for this coming week.

Asa is doing wonderfully. He weighed in at 17 lb at 3 months. He is a happy boy, more and more interested in being one of the family these days. He likes to sit with us at the table while we eat (on my lap and Bob's), and seems very intrigued by our food!

He is drooling and spitting up a lot these days, and will squirm and wiggle around on my lap to ask to be burped mid-feed if needed. Unlike his big sibs, he'll go several days between poopy diapers!

He just learned to grab his own hands a few days ago, and has started to stare in wonder at his feet. He's not yet able to lift them close enough to try to grab them. He will also grab a toy or a hand if it is within striking distance, and he likes to scratch the fabric of the chairs when he is looking over our shoulders!

He coos, makes gggg sounds and little grunts.

Sleep has gotten steadily better, and his fussiness is essentially gone now- hallelujah! He usually falls asleep by being rocked in our arms, listening to his fave music (currently Nick Lachey's Father's Lullaby album). We tried to unswaddle him last night, but he woke earlier than usual, so we'll keep swaddling for awhile.

He is still loving his baths, usually being held by Bob, he likes to squirm around and "swim" and try to drink the water.

Longest stretch of sleep so far: 6.5 hours
Typical long stretch of sleep for the night: 5 to 6 hours, then a couple of 2-3 hour stretches
