Bob had an emergency appendectomy on Friday night after a night and day of abdominal pain and fever. It was amazingly quick- the diagnosis came in at 7:45 and by 9:45 the surgeon came in to tell me that everything had gone well.
Tressan spent the afternoon and evening wandering the long halls of the hospital with us, with no wrap or stroller, and just one blanket. Fortunately, breastfeeding makes feeding on the go pretty easy. He was a trooper, and sat with me in pre-op as Bob met the anesthesiologist and surgeon, and then for three hours in the waiting room.
We are thankful that the appendix hadn't ruptured and that everything went well! Bob is recovering at home and we are keeping a low profile, going on gentle walks and mostly staying inside.
Many thanks to Gran (Ki's mom) for coming down at a moment's notice to help us. She got to see Tressan's new smiles and giggles.
His head is getting so enormous!!
