Look at this little munchkin. The eyes say it all- independence and self-possession!!
She knows what she wants and is not shy about letting us know! She is saying a lot of words, although there are many times that even we aren't clear on what she's trying to say. Then she repeats the same thing over and over again while nodding and looking at us wide eyed, as if to say, "Is it really so hard, Mom and Dad?"

very clearly: eye, apple, owie, no, poopoo
She has just started combining two words spontaneously... "Water spill" is the first one I can remember. Yesterday she said "Saskia comb" as the possessive.
She is very interested in walking rather than being carried, and she thinks it's hilarious to run away from us as fast as she can. Fun times ahead!! :D
