Our little snowman

Asa is getting rounder, and Tressan and I remarked this morning that he looks a little like a snowman: round head with luscious cheeks, a generous belly, and round bottom with little legs tucked under him!

At 6 weeks and a bit, Asa is outgrowing many of his 0-3 month outfits- today I'll sub in some of his 3-6 month clothes (many handed down from Micah and Owen, and a few of those originally Tressan's...)

The day before he hit 6 weeks, Asa smiled his first for-sure social smile at me! His mouth makes a sweet bow shape and he makes happy noises- the beginnings of a laugh that will surely follow not far behind. He smiles at Mommy and Daddy for now.

Having big brother and sister in the car on either side makes him feel better on the daily drive to pickup after school.. they are keen (and sometimes a little TOO keen) to help him put his pacifier back in, or hold his hands if he cries.

He grunts and grumbles a lot in the middle of the night- maybe from gas bubbles sometimes- and keeps Daddy awake.

He is raising his head up more and more, and each day, is a little more intentional about what he looks at- mostly our faces and his friend, Mr. Tree outside the front window. He is sometimes happy to lie on the couch or floor for up to 30 minutes, contemplating the tree!
