Glad to be Home

Tressan and Mommy are still snoozing/nursing in the bedroom this morning, and as I was snuggling them for a while I was just enjoying being back home in our own bed and in our nice cozy quiet home. I think we'll have a longer post (or several) about the entire birth experience, but here's a few pictures/thoughts about the hospital stay.
We stayed at hospital for 3 nights in total after the birth - the normal stay is 48 hours and since Tressan was born so late at night the first 'night' was really from about 4:30am to 6am and they didn't want to send us home on Saturday.

The hospital room wasn't so bad - it was a private room with a bathroom/shower so it could have been far worse.

Here's Tressan's little bassinet at the hospital. UCSD Hospital (and many/most nowadays?) has a rooming-in policy for all healthy newbowns, so Tressan never left our room. They don't even have a nursery (other than the NICU)!
The view from the room - not so exciting...
Here's Tressan and Mommy snuggling on the hospital bed. It was rather dark in the room but I'm loving our new camera (maybe I'll make a post about that sometime).
Tressan in his carseat for the ride home. The nurse said he would cry as soon as he was in it but he slept soundly from when he got in in the hospital room until after we got him back home.
Tressan in his nice, new, fancy car-seat (thanks Grandma and Grandpa Jones!)

Getting ready to drive home. When we left I (Bob) went out to bring the car around and the nurse was supposed to bring Kiely down to the front of the hospital. After about 10 minutes I was wondering where they were so I went up to check on them and we must have taken different elevators because by the time I got back to the hospital room they were gone! So I ran back down and Kiely and the nurse were sitting beside the locked car trying to figure out how to get in. We headed home and I drove rather cautiously (as one might imagine.. about 55 on the highway where most people are driving 80) and we made it.
